At the risk of sounding negative, don't forget that applying for a job doesn't mean you will actually get it.

IMO Apply for the Aus job, and see how you get on. What's the worst that happens, a couple of weeks holiday to go for an interview?

Of course the down side of Australia is that it's full of smug Aussies who will tell you which sports they have beaten England in at every opportunity. And they only sell ultra low alcohol beer these sporting events.

And Hugh Jackman doesn't really spend any time there anymore.

I have lots of friends who have made the move and loved it. But I also seem to have loads of Aussie mates who now live over here, so there has to be something to be said for England.

But you will need to take a language course. The attached may prove helpful.

Remember oz has no snow thats why im looking at Canada for the snowboarding. if you want a warm Christmas go to oz if you want a white christmas stay here.

Family will visit most years, its a cheap holiday for them they fly out see the sights eat all your food then fly home.
Friends will stay in touch through E-mails and on here, facebook, myspace etc. but you will mainly find new friends easy enough, and if you meet up with people from the british expat forum they will help you start a new life in a new country.
Your dog can go with you and everything else will slot into place as you settle which can take 6 months.

you cant go shelly, i have only just started to get to know you and we haven't started the phone sex yet. if you leave it will spoil my fantasy about coming down and giving you one. oz is too far away for me to cope.
