Looking good.
Only one thing I'd change, and that's junk the standard plate hanger and mount the plate directly onto the sheet you fabricated after cutting it down a bit. You'll also find the number plate light won't illuminate much of the plate if you use the standard hanger |

I see someone else asked the same question at the same time. Ummm... your fabricated bracket is as close to the back wheel as the plate would be if it was mounted directly to it, so the standard hanger is a bit unnecessary

theres about 10mm in it, as i did pop the number plate on my made up bracket first, it prob will be ok as im a lightweight and ride without pillion, but as i had it thought i best play safe.
I could of course just added a flat nut to space it out, ![]() |

Did you discuss whether you needed a seperate number plate light or would the light from the rear light be sufficient?
I'd loose that bulky number plate light, just to slide the number plate up a bit more and give it a cleaner look IMHO Mines got one of these Evotech led numberplate lights (little black cyclindrical thingy at the top of the tail tidy) Otherwise great work

Lose that train of thought completely as it's f***ing barmy.
The suspension needs to be free to travel its full freedom of movement without hitting owt, end of.

Erm, had lazy head on for that part, from what I could gather, the light isnt an MOT issue, just construction and use, and should be white light.
So my lazy head thought, agh, sod the agro of having to source a plug to suit the LED number plate light, I`ll use a pointy one which is smaller than the curvy type. Although in the end I had to buy a connector and crimps to change the pointy rear light plug to suit, so um sure I coudl have found something. Want to keep it as interchangeable as possible really. Although im noticing that the whole section could do with being made out of 2mm stainless instead of the 1.5mm i opted for. Another downside is I cant use the rear light trim piece that fits down the centre, as It wont fit, and whats left would look odd. its still a work in progress, and im open to any suggestions, and expect i`ll make or fit new bits as i go, and if things dont function as I want them to. hence why the plate was moved out a tad. I should really remove the rear shock and move the swing arm up and down to see what happens.

Yeah just don't say "cos I am light and don't take a pillion" as you can guarantee some idiot will read that and miss the point of what actually needs to work!
