All of the snows gone here, so no problem with that white muck

2 toasted crumpets for breakfast, then housework. I can watch Tv and its better than going outside

Hopefully you have learnt something.

Normally takes 25min on the bike,
Took me 1hr 30min in the car this morning
The hour was getting from mine to the motorway. Traffic by the M62 was dumb, people heading on the A58 qued around the roundabout in a very statinary line blocking all other exists on and off of Jnct26 which made all surrounding roads also grid lock. Wasnt impressed! The last half hour was a fairly clear run into leeds via m62/m621/a58(m)

Getting home will be fun, large automatic estate car V's snow and ice which only gets worse the closer to home I get... I suspect a late return to my abode.

Unless ur mrs owenski - who's school never seems to close.
Not impressed at the 6month pregnant wife driving 20mile alone in the snow, especially when she hates driving in snow normally, regardless of pregnancy.

Was it my work phone?
Yes. I've not used the work phone in 18 months as no-one has given me a charger and none about and been using my personal one instead. which you have called me on several times

At 6 months driving 20 miles would really worry me, my mrs is almost at the 6 month stage and I am worried about her driving at the best of times

The schools here don't seem to close either which I guess is good if your work never closes either...if I can't get there I can work from home (like this week) and having a 7year old in the house when I am trying to concentrate doesn't always work out...

Still I hope Mrs Owenski is safe and sound!

I wouldnt say I worry the rest of the time because I know she's not worried but its just me knowing how much she panics in the snow.
You've all the risks of a normal journey plus the higher accident risk, the devistation of getting trapped, a breakdown etc it prayed on my mind a little bit this morning. Made the desicision she'll be taking unpaid days off if the weather is teh same in Jan/Feb cos Im not having her out alone in bad weather so far on in the pregnancy - too risky for them both.

Don't blame you, sometimes work will take a **** if it can, you need to put your foot down, family/safety first and all that good stuff

The reason I would be so concerned is this time around (second time, 7 years on from the first) the mrs is having a hard time with quite a bit of discomfort (we're getting old). I dread the thought of her driving when some twinge turns up etc and distracts...especially if the road conditions are so bad
