I think you have to have the right plate on the right vehicle too. Some people have plates worth more than the car they are fitted to. It just doesn't look right having a flash plate on a 1L Corsa.

On the other hand a Rolls Royce on standard plates looks a bit wrong.

I have bought 2 cars with private plates and the first thing I did was sell them. Mainly because those plates mean nothing to me but also cause I would rather spend the cash on something else.

Glad you find insulting me, my fiance, and my father amusing. Nice moral set. Purley for your own amusement as you've already stated.

Nice, here's an award for you.

Originally wanted D41MO B, but it was on a standard road car somewhere which has now been scrapped so no chance of getting it. Most people spell Damo like so, but i've always added the I so it sounds as its spelt, Dai-mo. Surname begins with B. I was known on the car forums as DaimoB.

one of the regrets i have is not buying L4NCE off someone i knew for £300. but in my defence i have always drove crap cars and at the time i was skint.

one of the best plates i have seen is A4 SUM.

When my dad was friends with Steve Parish, I remember his old Merc 500SL (knew him through Terry Rhymer/Loctite Yams). he had it when he was racing trucks. He had the best plate ever. PEN15. It got banned eventually
