To be honest, what would be the point, it's a bike for mental speeds. Get rid of that and you've got an ugly muscle bike that you can never use anywhere near all the power as it will just wheelie or spin at any speed your neck can handle. Pointless. Maybe you want that though, hell some people have naked turbo bikes just for sh*ts and giggles. Back to the original point of a streetfighter, if you crash the ZX12 and can't afford new panels then sure do it! But they are a bike that's better with a fairing

Definitely get a cheapy track bike instead of this tourer milarky.
Could get a nice one, insured, daytime MOT'd for half the price of your other plan. Keep the SV for the road and spend the remaining money on racing/track days for your new screamer bike. Done!

Errr...doesn't quite work like that more bhp doesn't just mean you'll be going faster in linear fashion. It's all about how you get there. Bit of hamfistedness (sp?) on the SV vs hamfistedness on a cruise missile is a bit different. |

Have you tried a K4 / K5 GSXR ? Might fit you OK epecially if you are tall...

K6/K7 GSXR is comfy for a 6'4" rider, but all personal preference.
Not trying to tell you what to do, but I reckon SV/sports tourer to zx12r/hyper sport is a massive jump. Yes a throttle goes both ways etc blah blah, but stick a supersports in between is probably best as that in itself is a big difference. |
