Aye, but 20mpg is the REAL mileage...I guarentee the vRS won't see 45mpg! Although it will probably be better than 20!

lol at pope's Y- fronts . Mine is still fine but looking at the exhaust bolts, it'd be fun(not) when it's time to change it.

I thought I'd be happy with about 100 mpg to be honest and was actually surprised and pleased to find, it did so much better. Clocked it a few times just to be sure and sure enough, it was that good

I do between 3000 and 4000 miles a month, I'm on first name terms with the local petrol station unfortunately

Sad fact is in another year or two fuel will be £2 a litre... And people will still pay it.

Costs me about £35 a week in petrol to get to work, and it's under 20 miles away. It isn't going to get any cheaper unless I get something cheaper to run, but the cost of doing that far outweighs the low mpg I currently get. It ain't going to get cheaper.

Are you confusing the new FAbia vRS with the Octavia vRS?

The new Fabia vRS uses a 1.2 and a 1.4 engine. The 1.4 engine has 180BHP of pulling power!

The Octavia is bigger, and thirstier.

Nope, I'm not confusing anything!

The manufacturers MPG is never anything like the real MPG. Plus, although it is a 1.4 engine, it is the TSi engine and it will drink it! I had a Seat Ibiza, 56 plate, also made by Volkswagen/Skoda/Seat/Audi...it was only about 100bhp and I only ever got about 38-40mpg on my "extra-urban"commute to work!
