I always nod at police bikers and ive never got a nod back, if i did id be worried they wanted me to pull over to be fair

Any police bikers I've seen I've nodded at and always had one back. The other day I even waved at one parked up as I went into a junction at about 5mph (not the greatest idea I've ever had) whilst he was waiting to catch people turning right where they shouldn't be. They all seem decent enough round here.
