I'll quite happily lead from the A134 onwards but i'm not to sure about the first part, think someone who has a sat nav might be better to begin with. I know all the roads from the A134 to gayton and can just about remember the route from gayton up to hunstanton

Did the whole ride today, Norwich - Red Lodge - Hunny - Norwich Not good for the diet, I had a breakfast special at the cafe and a rather large whippy ice cream at Hunny...

I'm gonna tweak a couple of bits on the route (add more points more than anything) as the sat nav wanted to put me onto a road and then turn me around again and just before Newton, I also went down a rather nasty narrow road (part of the A1065 towards the A14 with gravel everywhere leaving 2 narrow tracks....it was only a road between roads if you know what I mean and wasn't all that long but if I can find another route I shall

South of Fincham is a not as nice as later on....the first bit of the ride is a bit pants to be honest....and that's doing the Lakenheath B road stuff rather than the Brandon A road...the roads seemed to be a collection of lots of straight lines rather than nice and bendy But hey, it's only the first little bit...

I don't mind leading for some of it as I have a sat nav but I haven't done it before so I'm not sure on pacing at the front and all that jazz etc etc....I guess there's a first time for everything

I'm gonna have a cup of tea and unwind for a bit then I'll work on the route a little to iron out the kinks I found and then I'll post it up

edit: had a quick look at the route, fixed the wrong turn issue (self made!) and have added some points to help explain the problem road....here's the new route link

Between points N and O is where the road is full of gravel and narrow....if anyone fancies suggesting something else then do or if you would you be happy with that little stretch just to get to where we are going then we can leave it be...it was a 30 mph max bit really...

are you sure its between points N and O that the roads bad, i went that way today and didn't notice anything that bad. You said earlier that it was part of the A1065 towards the A14

I'll double check my notes, petrol receipts do come in handy after all...I had a look on street view and I thought it was one in the same area but I'll look through the route in more detail

edit: "8 )" without the space reads as

I'll probably head out that way tomorrow. Maybe i went a slightly different way if it was bad i certainly never noticed and was doing more than 30 there was only one stretch of about 50 metres that i really slowed for due to what looked like sand along the edges

Looking more at the route and my note which I jotted down, the bad road was between the a1065 and the a148, and the only way that was the case was if I missed a turn off from the a1065 (around point Q) and double backed on myself to get to the gayton road....which I most certainly did ride down

Don't sweat it, it wouldn't be the first time I missed a b road turning cause I was enjoying myself too much....I think it best if I or someone else with a sat nav take things from red lodge to the Wereham turn off (point F) then you handle things from there with a sat nav as back up if we need it

thats fine mate i know all the roads from there up to atleast gayton. We actually ride about half a mile from my house when we head through marham. I'll try not to get to carried away on the gayton road although it is one of my favourites and may have to open the sv up a little I'm sure you won't mind
