I only linked it that way because that's the way I've always done it. Never been round in the other direction. Plus by the time you get to point J KJ's bike might throw a tantrum but at least she'll be able to coast home.

My mate has said I can borrow his TomTom Rider providing I can get a power feed to it and fit the mounting bracket - so that resolves the "where am I going" part!

I guess we should have an attendees list.

I have a car charger socket with 1.2m metre lead that is 10A fused and has the usual battery terminal connectors on it if you need one to use? The socket is fitted to an ice cream tub L bracket (patent pending) which makes it easier to duct tape to stuff if that helps too. It was fitted on the SV and now sits in a box as the SMT has one fitted...

Ooh that sounds handy - I bought a Hein Gericke sat nav waterproof bag today that mounts on the handlebars - used Google Navigation on my Android phone in it to get me home - worked perfectly! I will be able to borrow my mates TomTom Rider now so will use your ITN file (cant upload them to my One 3rd Edition grrrr) - but powering it is the issue - the charge socket sounds great - if I bring some gaffer tape and a screw driver I assume its a 5 minute job to fit?

Yeah I used android navigation before the tomtom, very good so long as you stick to the route...if you deviate and there isn't a data connection available you're stuffed though. Android navigation was poor at taking waypointed routes though, you have to navigate piece by piece (to the next blue marker) if I remember rightly

Fitting the charger should be a doddle...I had it taped to the inside of my fairing so I am unsure where it could go on your DRZ....where there's a will there's a way, worst case the socket and charger unit could maybe stay under the seat?

I'll PM you the addy and my mobile, give me an idea of when I'll see what I can do.....I could always bring it to you, any excuse for a ride

edit: Paddy, It'll be good to have a foreigner or two in the mix
