Oh noes! Glad to hear you're ok and in good spirits! I've only encountered diesel once and it was only the smell of it thankfully, as indicated to me by a mate during a ride out. Fingers crossed I never ever get thrown off by it.

On a similar note, nothing seemed to happen when you mentioned it was already reported. It took your off to set them into action. Do org'ers report diesel spills in general? Who to?

Well the report wasn't at the same roundabout, but a bit further on, and there was so much through town which I made sure to let them know about but there we go, sod's law.

Hey Sweetie, just seen your thread here. Glad to hear that you are ok. Big respect to you because you did not cry like a big girl like I would!

Heal soon from the bruises and hope that your precious is OK.

Big hugs from the SW

Jayne I admit I did shed a few tears as soon as it happened and I had to lean on my poorly bike's tank cos of the pain I hate seeing bikes bashed up, just hoped it wasn't too damaged. Soon stopped though when I saw it was just a clock and a gear peg

If the council knew about the diesel but hadn't done anything to remedy the situation then you could get the bike repaired on their insurance. Check it out with someone who might know more, but I think that's how it works.

We shut the Limehouse link the other night at rush hour due to a half mile diesel and oil all over the road. Doubt we made any friends that night but there was no accidents instead.

Heal fast
