Yep. I like to watch 5th Gear, as they go in depth with car tests. Vicki Butler-Henderson can certainly drive, plus you can tell how fast she is going round by a bend by how high her hair floats up lol. Shame she doesn't ride a bike. Also it's a shame that Nigella Lawson doesn't ride a bike,,but then that's just me being a pervert ;-p Last edited by Dabber; 13-06-12 at 01:22 PM. Reason: Spelling. |

Wow! I'd definately watch that
![]() I don't really like fith gear that much purely because it's too serious and it's people just waffling on! We need to find a actual set of presenters that'd be best I mean Guy Martin is a definately because he'd just MAKE the program... We need a woman (Jenny in mind) And possible another man |

I'll do it. That'll save money.
I could do the real world tests, this is how the bike copes when ridden in a barely adequate manner kinda thing. |

Given that the most numerous market segment is spotty teenagers riding mopeds you'll need a presenter who appeals to them.
Jenny T. is just a bit too professional for this market segment, but I'm sure there are plenty of well endowed luvvies who would look awesome in leathers and could learn to ride/race during the first series. So that's Guy Martin, Jenny T., and some teenage totty. Gets my vote. ![]() Last edited by keith_d; 13-06-12 at 02:04 PM. |

I hate to be the bringer of doom...but no tv network will take the slightest bit of notice to a petition or demand from a few hundred or thousand individuals.
They will take notice of figures and revenue opportunities. The relatively low sales figures of new bikes means it is hard to get decent advertising revenue that way...plus, the viewing figures wouldn't be high enough to attract ad deals to make it financially viable. Personally, I think what would make better telly and have a possible huge audience would be an all encompassing petrol head show. Something that could have sections for everything. You could have a bike section, car section, aviation section, boat section. There are millions of people that are interested in not so much what is powered, but the fact that it is powered, engineered, how it works and what goes in to making it work. It could encompass the old and new. Have masterclass segments for doing things yourself. I am always fascinated watching "how it's made" and the programmes about monster machines. I just think you would have a better chance of getting bikes on primetime through this kind of format than a purely bike one. Plus...with the extra viewers, might get a few anti bike folks to soften to our pride our joy machines ![]() |

The only one I suggested that for was the BBC, given as that is specifically what they are for. BBC 2 was allowed to operate on the basis that it caters to market segments not provided for by commercial interests and bbc1.

Think DAVE would be interested as well since they feature topgear and fithgear.
