my jacket is a medium which i think says 12/14 on the size guide, i do like mine roomier not tigh,i managed with ease to get my big baggy fleece hoody under the jacket with and i would say im a 10/12(being nearer 12 at the moment with all the lovley winter warmer food i am eating). i suppose which size you go for depends on what you are intending to wear under it, if its mainly bulkier stuff maybe going a size up than normal clothes size may be good as i could have fit into a small with just my thermals on and a t shirt( but then i would have froze lol)
