Yeah, close to Cardiff..

Thanks for mentioning that though Red Herring, I've posted on his thread and will look into it. I have my bike back, it is quite bruised and sad to look at. I will upload pictures as soon as I get on my computer.

I have to say, I'm getting so much hate on YouTube haha

I did remark with a tongue in cheek manner knowing you probably didn't see the wood for the trees!

Just realised this is the A467 just after the B4591 roundabout, about 10 minutes from my house.

That section of road is dodgy at the best of times and low sun is not much help.

You need any help mechanic wise PM me, got a garage full of tools to help

That didn't half make me jump.

You did well coming out of that with no more than cuts and bruises, thankfully.
I thankfully don't have to use my bike for commuting anymore but did many moons ago in the early 80's. I used to have a strip of black tape on the bottom of my visor for this very reason and would lift it up so it acted like a car visor to block the sun.
Did get a bit chilly but worked.

Damn, That could have been a whole lot nastier.
Really glad you are in one piece. Mend well.

Reminds me of when I worked as a vehicle refinisher for Mercedes.
We had a car come in where a bike had hit the rear end. The rider went into the back window and through the front seats hitting the dash. His glove was still in the front foot well. He wasn't as lucky as you were.

Really glad someone was watching out for you. Be safe Orgers.

Indeed, that's correct. It's the incline that did it for me, if I were travelling for a few seconds longer I would have gotten off the incline and been able to see

Cheers mate, I may need a hand fixing her up if you're up to the task; I do have a few mates of mine that also work on their bikes so they said they'd give a helping hand if I needed it too

I know, I broke down in the hospital after watching it for the first time, not realising how bad the accident actually was. I'm so grateful I can walk away from that, learn my lesson and ride another day.

Hey, if it prevents you from crashing, then I can put up with being a little chilly lol

Thanks for your comment mate, somebody was definitely looking over me when that happened

Also, I've created a new thread for the aftermath of the crash; including some pictures of the bike and a list of the damage that I've noted so far. That thread is here: http://forums.sv650.org/showthread.p...80#post3038380

It's going to be a long road to recovery for the poor girl, but she'll get there.

Be happy to help buddy, looking through your other videos you used to work at the Lloyds call centre that is a stones throw from where I live, so, you're in and around anyway.

I've rebuilt my SV1000S after I had a dozey old guy try and use my lane while I was in it, so, I got tools for rebuilding the front of bikes as well as most other tools you need for bike working.

Let us know if you want a helping hand, just PM me

As an expert in these matters, start where it is broken, lol

Make a list of what is broken and just start by acquiring it, learning how to fit it to the bike comes second
