I would call up your local nick and ask them to confirm the officers visit, that way you'll actually be sure they weren't faking. Don't use any number they gave you, look it up in the phonebook. If they have no knowledge of the visit (which is impossible if it occured) then you have to report the incident.

i like the geese idea - just not sure how well it would work for me in a 2nd floor flat in sunny Sw9 ..? i spose you could make a pen at the roadside, cover it so they couldnt fly away, and park your bike in the middle...course they would no doubt **** all over it and lay eggs in it , but what the hell...

i wonder how the council would react ?...same for one of them bike garage things ..can you just erect em anywhere ...ie outside neros ?

I got my cctv camera from B&Q

Needs a video recorder and a long play tape to cover night time but now I'm in my new house I've got to get it setup. I got one those TV cards in my pc so was thinknig about doing a motion sensor setup using the cctv camera and some software.

Some programs can email you or play a sound alert so you can be alarmed to the something happening.

as 454697819 said, let the law deal with a cctv image when it (and hopefully never) happens. The police might not be able to use a cctv image in court but they'll still be happy to get an image to use
