I had six of them Soho massive fellas come and strip my bike down and put all the bits in neatly labeled bags on a shelf in my shed. (good job they labelled the bits as I didn't know what half of them were)They made a photographic record as they went along which made it all really easy for when I started selling bits on ebay and giving bits away etc.

You should demand the same level of service. It cost me a lot of tea and Bacon sarnies but thats about it.

Good luck and PM me if you still need a pickup on Friday and we can sort it out.

If this drags out till late January I will be in Basildon a few weeks and would be willing to help. Depending on the travel distance to where you are. Where is East Sussex and how far from Basildon?

That is if no one minds a Yank showing up.

Blimey!!

That would be kinda cool!!

Basildon is in Essex, which is just over an hour away by road (most days!) - I'm sure someone from the Essex Boys section can tell you better how far away it is! (You think I might know, seeing as my Boss lives just down the road from there in Witham and I go between here & there a lot! )

I would imagine this might well 'drag' into January because of Insurance companies being godawfully slow & then Christmas getting in the way!!!

OK...

The time has come!!

I have been given the all clear to start stripping her down!!

I've made a start already, as I was really hacked off at being informed what the insurance company have offered me for my wrecked riding kit!

But I have only started removing little bits & what's left of the fairing! The biggest thing I have removed so far is the (rather battered!) fuel tank! It even had about 13 litres of fuel left in it!

So - I know what I'll be doing this weekend and the 2 weekends after next!!

If anyone is still able to help or interested in watching a knackered SV being stripped to shreds, then speak now!!

All help will be very gratefully received and there will be plenty of Tea/Coffee/Biscuits, etc. for those who help... I can even fire up the projector for any races that are on!
