Well that was a fun ride home (apart from briefly forgetting who was on the front end and not holding on tight enough a we pulled away ). A little rough spot at about 3k in first, but other than that a very comfortable ride indeed.

A bit 'them and us' last night, don't you think? Not impressed with some of 'them' announcing to the world at large what small willies they've got through their antics. Hope they don't get 'us' moved along.

Oh, and Brian - sorry about the lecture. I don't do it very often, but you know it makes sense

The "mob" seem to be turning up earlier and earlier. A right bunch of winkers mainly, but I'm not sure there's anything we can do apart from maybe start to park both sides of the road right close to Old Compton St and kind of mark it off in a juvenile territorial way .

Or maybe it really is time to move and simply start again in Greek St? Or everyone get there by 7.30 and then leave by 9.30, either making it short(ish) but sweet or moving on to another venue (no, not the Bridge) after 9.30?

but why should we we were there first and have a well-established meet with a long-standing reputation for good behaviour. Our territory is well marked already by our large presence and our always arriving early and staking out our traditional patch of tarmac. We have had a good relationship over the years with the bike cops who come for coffee and it was interesting to note that the plods who were looking over bikes and having words with individuals completely ignored us.

I don't want to start any turf wars between rival groups of bikers though, and I hope it doesn't come to that. Maybe we could make some flyers giving them some history on the SV Soho meet and our 'family', asking them to be a bit more considerate, seeing as they're piggybacking on our meet, and hand them out? You know, in a biker community-good-spirited-all in it together-cameraderie kind of way. Perhaps Greg could batter them with the Soho Massive rule book

Anyway, who am I to talk, I don't even have a bike!

on previous threads its been pointed out theyve been going there long before the SV meet started. No doubt greg will correct me on that but I remember a few posts along that line.

with summer comes the increased number of bikers [and corresponding level of muppets] out so some will start off with frith street before moving to the ace or the bridge. just a fact of life. but as youve said the cops left the sv guys alone - so its clearly known that we're the responsible ones [well most of us anyway :P ].

and Debs, you have every right to comment... bike or not youre part of the soho massive as much as anyone else

look forward to catching up with you next week btw... unless youre off gadding about the place again
