If you want to change the timing properly then you probably would need something like a Dyna 2000 which is fully adjustable but costs lots & you would probably still need the PC to control the fueling.

Stupid question, but why change the timing?

Anyway, if you want to advance the timing, why not do it via the spark plug gap? Works very well on older bikes, and with modern ignition systems you shouldn't have quite the same issues with dynamos or magnetos - what a relief.

Why spend money on a harley? don't you need it to fix the bits that vibe themselves apart?

Unfortunately some of the old time tricks have gone by the board Caddy with regard to todays modern bikes How many people realise that the polish, shine
on your down pipes and exhaust help the resination and improve the gas flow?

Now how close to the mark was that? And I think you should polish the INSIDE of the pipe

Indeed, just this past weekend I was smoothing the insides of the throttle bodies and mouth of the headers for that very purpose.

Cheers Mark

Moves teh torque curve riiiiight down the revs. Lovely for in-town riding. Also increases the risk of detonation though, can raise the temperature of the combustion chamber, and can cost top end power on a tuned SV. But fantastic for a road bike.
