What do you recon 12 or 13 bhp at the rear? Although if I fit a CCC I might get another 3 bhp....

The SV engine is a brilliant engine in standard fettle and one place the bike is lacking is suspension ,improve your suspension and use all the standard power from the engine and you will be quicker Improving the output of the engine without compensating by improving the suspension just makes it harder to use the available power. Be honest with yourselves 1. how often do you ride to the max
2.Do you think you are capable of riding the SV to the max 3. Have you ever thought the suspension dives or bucks when braking, or under acceleration

If I still had my SV and was looking to improve my riding capability I would be looking more to suspension because the V-twin output was more than adequate BUT I always felt the build to cost suspension let the bike down and unless you have shed loads of money go for the cheaper options The alternative is change
bikes for a make or model that has the desired performance you want

I am only writing this after reading some very old posts along with more recent
ones and contemplating how much money is being spent for so little gain After all is said and done you still have a SV at the end of it all

I am genuinely trying to be helpful and hope this doesn't upset anybody and if I have I am sorry because to many of us our bike is our passion

Nope...not upset at all and fully agree. But in the same vein...still trying to convince "she who must not be angered until we move house" that I can get a kwak - zx10 or 636 - for a really good price and at 0% finance
