We will probably be inside having a couple of rolls if you don't see anybody by the bikes

Was told today that there's HUGE manhole covers on the exit of most of the bends.

Any chance of some pics nutty?

Might be there for sunday - depending on the quality of my weekly hangover.

Disappointingly, no. What's the scandal there then?
That'd be my old wreck It went west when it was sold. Not many of them still on the road, so I thought you might have drawn the short straw

yes there are some man hole covers not on most bends though. the only ones that could cause trouble are the ones at the other side of the bumps when you leave the ground. only remember where they are when im in the air. most of the time they are easy to avoid.

pics? of what? the manhole covers or the rideout saturday?

if your traveling north the road is about 15 foot wide with cliff faces on the right and 30 foot drops to the left (into the loch) with trees and walls down the left... there are sharp crests the will lift the front of the bike and sometimes the back...

There are also people wandering aimlessly and sheep doing the same... To make it even more fun its always got lots of wet patches and the aforementioned man hole covers, so all in all its a 'FUN' bit of road...

I've been given permission to come out on the run on Saturday but I can't stay for the meal...

Of course theres armco... Anything bad for bikers and its on that stretch of road...

It is a fun bit of road though Its fairly straight once you get to the loch side kinda twisty on the way down though...

its a lovely twisty road with big humps. its not got a centre line in all the bits but is big enough for two cars to pass each other easily. sometimes lorries use that road and if two lorries meet its a bit of a squeeze.

lots of places to pass cars which seem to only do 30 mph.

i guarantee you will be grinning from ear to ear after you have done this road.

i do the entire road in 2nd gear at 7000 revs. which is about 50-55mph

but everyone goes at their own pace, but all end up smiling. unless your an old git like justmac who is going to travel up loch side and meet us at pit stop in arrochar
