there is not a stong smell of petrol,

not like if a 2 stroke floods

I'm really not sure but if you have eliminated the electrical side of things, then time to start looking elsewhere.

i use the choke in the morning, let it run for 1 min(at high revs choke) then knock the choke off & it go's down to 1500 revs

I've seen people use the choke when they try to re-start a warm engine and it soaks the sparkplugs, but starts ok when it's cooled down!!!

i have got 2 new plugs, i have got the rear 1 out, the front 1 is coming out this morning(dont know now but it is)
but its a bit tricky to hold in clutch, hold plug & press starter

took both plugs out both sparking good. so i tested new plugs b4 fitting, one was good the other did not spark, so i checked all plugs in both end caps....no spark at all ,but as i said it was sparking nice, then just stopped

front plug is tricky to get out but i did it with my sockrt set

It sounds as if you have a problem with your ignition circuit, check the low voltage side of the coils, under the tank LHS from memory - don't forget a good earth is important for the coils.

so no spark last night, then spark this morning

not sparking now .....hopfuly it will spark somtime today


i cant belive the fuss you all made about getting the front plug out

still turning over but not sparking .but i have now noticed a clicking noise coming from the battry area
