This is ringing a bell with me. I'm sure I read a book where somebody went back in time and made it so adolf hitler was never born. This ended up in someone else gaining power who was a lot worse and it lead to germany winning the war etc etc..............perhaps Steven Fry?

correct, stephen fry making history is the book.

they kill hitler before he was born (you know what i mean), the guy who leads the 3rd reich wins WW2 bans homosexuality along with many other things and is a whole lot worse!

I think I would go back to my wedding night - presents all around, money on the bed, and a wife in some seriously expensive underwear!

"Making History" is a great book, I love all of Fry's books, but the Hippopotamus is the best IMO!

Surely if Time travel did exist, then thanks to causality, practically no travel to the past would be possible or else you would just cease to exist as soon as you had pressed the button. You would have to travel to somewhere far away and hopefully not connected to your parents or ancestors in any way. The further back you went, the more likely it would be that you stopped yourself from existing. Thats why its forwards for me! Buy myself one of them new SV1300s that have just come out

(in 2025).
