Try guessing my age...I thought Law had finally become educated and meant Blue Oyster Cult when he put BOC...ok, I'll disappear slowly back to my beer and listen to my 1972 version of 'Then came the last days of May'

Law, Symposium were... Bubbly pop-punk that took a bit of a Deftones turn, split up, then some of them became Hell is for Heroes. 2 genius albums, One Day At A Time is the bouncier one, songs of the summer. Last time I saw them was at the Big Day Out at Milton Keynes Bowl, sort of precursor to the Ozzfest/Download. They played between Pitchshifter and Sepultura at about 12.30 on one of the hottest days of the year, in front of 50000 metalheads, and somehow it just worked, well nigh godly. All these fatbeards in Manowar tshirts dancing along to Drink the Sunshine, then a load of skinny pop-punk fans moshing like lunatics to Killing Position. One of the highlights of the best day ever.

Not that surprising really, bit of a moment in time most of that list. But where's the Wildhearts and Therapy? You CAN'T like Honeycrack and the Almighty but not them, shurely? And A! And China Drum, Kerbdog, Dub War, Pitchshifter and Headswim maybe, Apes Pigs and Spacemen?

I may have to revise my album recommendations now

i saw symposium at a festival in brighton in '97 i think. good fun. remember seeing ice t there too which was quite amusing.

i thought about therapy and wildhearts but the list was getting a bit long by then!! i also toyed with adding some soundgarden to the list too.
