I've underlined the salient points from this BBC News article regarding the "failed car bombings at Glasgow airport and in London"
Detectives investigating the failed car bombings at Glasgow airport and in London have arrested two more people, taking the total number held to seven. The men, aged 28 and 25, were detained in the Paisley area west of Glasgow on Sunday night. They are not thought to be of British origin. Daniel Gardiner, director of a Paisley-based letting agency believed to have rented out a house to one of the suspects, said officers had traced his company after tracking phone records linked to the foiled London car bomb attacks. "The police wanted to know why we had dialled a certain phone number. They had the phone records from the situation down in London," he said. Last edited by Xan173; 02-07-07 at 02:28 PM. |

I know it's already been said, but it's worth repeating. It's very hard to interrogate a corpse.

I like sci-fi and horror movies. But even my imagination won't stretch that far, LOL!

I presume that was a jest in my direction.
Even *IF* it's proven (and to my knowledge, it's still not proven) that the events at Glasgow airport were part of a terrorist attack, I still really can't stand the whole media stance of "something bad happened, it must be a terrorist to blame!" Im not sure their origin has any real bearing on the events, so I wouldn't call that part in particular salient. That would imply that we should suspect everyone that isn't of british origin. I also find it absoluetly bizarre that it seems appropriate to hold down a burnt individual (yes, granted if it was their own safety etc), and then take them to a hospital, and close the said hospital to the public at large. As someone else posted, that would seriously inconvience a large number of innocent people, and possibly put their lives in danger. |

i agree with bluewolf, it would be very hard to accidentally drive into the main terminal building at glasgow airport, you can hardly get a parking space outside main doors. glasgow had quite a busy weekend, there was a murder in bishopbriggs on thursday night too. and I was out on the town on Friday and I murdered a kebab after a few lemonades.
