Yeah should wear it casue its fitted, sat in one those scooter things hated them don't know why anyone would want to be/on one. Ha the best thing is casue there is a wind screen wiper that must work as well, says at all wouldn't ride one of them.

I had been told that should wear it, as its fitted that was from a cop, but hey ho. Seems we have different thoughs on it, but who really cares any way

just to add to all this. i read somewhere that you don't have to wear your seatbelt when going in reverse? anyone know about that?

i got a ticket for no seatbelt about a year back. i'm sure the cop didn't have his on either. why was it again police don't have to but us mortals do?

No belt during reversing is correct.
Cops have a dispensation from the Home Secretary, we don't have to by law, but GMP policy is that we should. My view is, unless you are tougher than the steering wheel and windscreen, then you should.

i don't know much about this but if GMP policy says he should wear and he doesn't, is that a legal offence or just a smacked wrist off his superior,

No, it just means that he only gets 50% of any claim for injury following an RTC.
