Looks like a good route. Minimum distance for me is 539 miles. If I'm fit and well I'll be there, Mrs LOM's delicate derriere means she will be absent.
Anyone fancy a go an "iron butt 1000" ride mid summer this year or next. https://www.ironbutt.org/rides/ https://www.ironbutt.co.uk/w3/index.php . The most I've ever done is 600 ish and the most non motorway was 570 miles in the Pyrenees this year.

I filled up today at 90 miles with 11.5 litres, so I reckon I could maybe just reach 100 miles if I had to

there is also a station in lumsden (if its open) that we will be passing. 73 miles from braemar. just checked and its closed on sundays
