What have you tinkered with today?
I've now installed some customised stock cans. These have had their guts removed and sound much better for it.

Re: What have you tinkered with today?
😁 it's not too loud. Just a much better tone. It sounded like an egg whisk before.

Re: What have you tinkered with today?
if it were not for the SV exhaust being the size and weight of a bazooka i would have left it on as i dont really like loud exhausts as it gets a bit much after 100 or so miles even with ear plugs. your cored cans sound not too bad though.

Re: What have you tinkered with today?
I had a standard can on my curvy SV and that sounded poor, no hint of that distinctive vtwin bellow. My pointy came with a Scorpion and that sounded fab, not loud but had that nice deep burble. When I got the VFR my wife laughed when she heard it and had been taking the Micky ever since. The gutted cans sound remind me of a Subaru, not loud but distinctive.

No tinkering today. Just a case of enjoying the new head bearings and the ability to steer!

Re: What have you tinkered with today?
I did the 'freeing up the disc bobbins' trick this morning, so I'm looking forward to marginally better braking on my next ride ....

Here you go - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1qoPqN2GBdw
Helps keep the floating discs floating. Mine's an 06 model that's only done 9K miles but I thought I'd do it, as it's probably never been done before. |
