Done a bit of cycling round there. Seem to remember that Wales highest mountain pass road is near by. Not sure the legs could manage the terrain now!

Managed to get out on the bike for a few hours yesterday. Went up to Aldeburgh via Woodbridge, Rendlesham and Snape. Over to Thorpeness then to Yoxford and follewed the A1120 to Stowmarket, cut across to Hadleigh and back to Ipswich. Great day until I ended up with a massive cramp in my thigh and had to stop. Just under a hundred miles.

Back home from 4 day weekend away on the bike. Some 900 odd miles later and it's nice to be feeling a bit more normal.

Our Covid support bubble is currently complete as daughter dearest has come home for the first time since Chrimbo. We cycled to a lovely pub for lunch to celebrate. Hoorah!

At the Raven caff near Whitchurch, had a long chat with the owner of a very nice GT380B in silver. Made me very wistful for my old 380.

I loved the Suzuki triples. Such a great sound too. I had a GT 750 back in '76. Lovely engine, terrible chassis. (And brakes that didn't work in the wet)

Modern tyres like Avon Roadriders make a big difference to the handling ... yes, they still wallow and weave a bit but it's part of the fun I had Brembo pads on the 380 and those made a huge difference in braking.

Still lovely bikes, but much harder to look after these days than they were even 6 or 7 years ago, parts are getting thin on the ground and very expensive ...

Read on twitface that Lynn who used to run Raven cafe had to leave premises when owner of building wanted his family in there, she opened the Pheonix cafe a few miles away - have not been to Pheonix, does anyone know what it is like ?

My brother had a Suzuki GT500 two stroke twin that was really nice bike, he fettled the engine a bit.

Not been to the Phoenix. The 500 twins are very nice indeed, and don't need much fettling to properly fly.
