Re: Smile of the day - What is yours?
York Suzuki Centre have 2 Suzuki GT500 twin 2 stroke bikes in the shop as well as a 750 triple 'kettle'. Almost tempted by a GT500 but I don't know about 2 strokes nowadays - are they still allowed on the road ?!

Re: Smile of the day - What is yours?
My 380 had 5 or 6 years running on E5 without problems, but the switch to E10 could prove problematic for inlet rubbers, etc. Suzuki's 70s twins and triples didn't have squish bands in the heads, unlike Yams and Kawas, which may explain why the engines seem to tolerate modern fuel better.
The original outer crank seals on the 380 failed after 37 years, bloody Jap crap |

Re: Smile of the day - What is yours?
Had my second covid jab on Saturday afternoon. Not sure if there were any side effects or whether I just felt rubbish as I'd had a couple of beers the night before....

What I am tempted by ,at least looking into it further , is a Suzuki Burgman 650, for a bit of comfort ! I couldn't contemplate riding a traditional scooter but the Burgman is a bit like a touring motorcycle. |

Sid squid, has/had one of those when he needed something a little more comfortable to ride. So they must be ok....

Re: Smile of the day - What is yours?
My bro-in-law had a 400 for his commute. He said the acceleration from a standing start was more than enough to win the traffic-light GP 99% of the time, because it was so accessible.
Road tests put the 0 to 60 at 8.5 seconds, and you can do that any time you want, just twist and go. |
