Second AZ jab yesterday which is a relief to get, but...

Last night was the worst I can remember feeling for a long time. Passing out in bed by 8pm but stuck in half asleep shivering and hot / cold limbo for hours. Eventually slept properly gone 1am. Possibly complicated by having had a sore throat and sniffle come on a day before the jab, but I definitely think I had a reaction. Feeling sligtly less volatile this morning but a bit wiped out from a difficult night of half sleep. Working today. Really don't feel like it but I can't get out of it.

Got out this morning in an unexpected dry window. Got to the Raven caff near Whitchurch - very quiet, if there were more than a dozen bikes I'd be surprised.

i had a good weekend in the West Country. A decent ride down (dry, with some sunshine even!), met up with some old/new faces & enjoyed a few Ciders.

The way back yesterday was mostly windy & soggy, but at least it gave me a chance to test my new over proofs. Which worked wonders keeping me dry, warm and comfortable the 5 hour journey home.

Next trip will be the Highlands in 4 weeks time.

Dominic Cummings' warpath

Not checked the news in a while, found it an amusing (sort of) read.

I found none of what he said surprising. More of a confirmation they (the Government) were as unprepared and clueless as we suspected, and Matt Hancock is well & truly an incompetent ****.

Personally, i think an inquiry would be a waste of money. Regardless of the outcome nothing will change or happen to rectify the errors made, or to remove people from positions of power.
