ah man, i've not been on the forum this weekend and only just seen this. Totally gutted, just sitting at my desk and feeling sick. Finally managed to meet him properly this summer at the AR and very glad I did.

I will get on my bike tonight and I'll be thinking of Hovis as I'm riding. He obviously loved to ride and loved to ride fast. I think we all know how good the adrenaline rush makes you feel when riding fast. Hovis would want us all to continue to ride and enjoy ourselves, I think he would want us all to be safe too.

Hovis would never want any single person he knew to give up biking as a result of what has happened. He would want you to ride and ride proud....especially if you can **** of someone else doing it!!!

I for one will miss being able to ride with him and talk to him, but, I know now everywhere I ride and everything I do with biking he will be there with me enjoying himself with his cheekey grin on his face.

Only just read post.....never met the guy (wish that I did) but had a couple of PM's back and forth and I know that he'll be sorely missed by all.

Jumped back on the curvy today for a miserable ride to the dentist. Didn't think twice about getting back on, but I did make a bit of noise on my own for Hovis.

Amen......he used to bug me when he would turn up at ours, plonk himself on the sofa then say.....

"Whats this **** all about then??? What we gonna do today???? Lets go on the bikes????"

Right now I would give anything to have him here to say that. I just miss that smile.
