Re: Vintage film cameras
"Buying because it's there...." I can see where you're coming from with that.
Just like you Kenzie I've a K1000 that I bought 2 years ago and haven't used yet. Someday …. Last edited by yokohama; 04-08-18 at 07:58 PM. Reason: sp |

Re: Vintage film cameras
Well it's a future investment! That's what I tell myself anyway. My wife wants me to catalogue the collection so when I pop my clogs she can sell it all off! I've got a few that will be going to the charity shop, a couple of Brownie 127s so far that came in job lots.

Re: Vintage film cameras
I have a spreadsheet now, and it has estimated values. I also added the ones I've sold, there are a lot more of those than I remember! It also has notes about what needs fixing on them.

Re: Vintage film cameras
Well I've got a load of photos from flickr, so I might use a spreadsheet with a pic, model, and what I paid and rough value.

Re: Vintage film cameras
Got my eye on a 50mm f1.4 Rokkor X on the bay, would go well with my X700. Speaking of which, I might take it of on Tuesday. Either that or the Facebook OM1n with the 35-70mm.

Re: Vintage film cameras
Picked up a MIR 1 M42 37mm f2.8 lens today from an antique shop for £9.50. Also shot a roll of Ilford Pan F 50 black and white through a Kodak Brownie Six-20 D. Will develop it later. Going to take the OM1n and 35-70mm f4 on with me tomorrow.

Re: Vintage film cameras
Exchange go through alright? Good find with the MIR, they are going for up to 10 times that on the Bay of Pigs. I finally stopped changing my mind and put a film in my Konica S, which definitely works, after I was fondling the Olympus and accepting I don't have the time to cure the barrel wobble and the possibly worn carbon tracks on the speed setting ring that make the meter needle a bit erratic.
