Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?
if it's dying wouldn't it make sense to sorn it and forget the insurance? Or can you still get good money selling on a dying car?

Fitting a new fork stanchion to the bike. I was expecting issues but seized mudguard bolts! Bloody things are made of cheese too. Got them off eventually. Blood pressure returning to normal.

Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?
The weather. How many Saturdays in a row has it been raining? Too many! We have big windows in the office and it always seems to be delightful outside until it gets to the weekend when it feckin' rains. Tomorrow looks like being better, if you like temperatures barely making up to three or four degrees.

Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?
The Honda is better built than the SV but English weather can kill any bike. It was frustrating because I've had those bolts out many times and coated them in copper slip to avoid this.

Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?
It would certainly hack me off too if I'd gone to the bother of coating them in copper slip!

If we had an "agree" button on this forum template I'd be pressing it. I too use Coppaslip on bolts and fixings for the same reason whenever I need to undo anything.

Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?
Try Graphite Grease instead & see if that helps. Sometimes when you have a mix of materials (aluminium fork leg/steel screw/coppa slip) it's not as effective asa each one reacts & behaves differently. Similar to alloy wheels on a steel hub. If they've not been off in a while a chemical bond creates with the continual heating/cooling
