IQ isn't too bad. Black and white shots are from a Canon Dial 35, colour are from a Ricoh Auto Half. Not tried my Pens yet. Can always send you the Pen EE I just picked up to play with?

The Pen EE is acting up now. The lens barrel was loose so I popped the too off, took the meter cover off and found a screw stuck to the magnet. Removed it and the meter/lens assembly from the body and found the screw was from the shutter mount. Another screw is missing but I can't find it... Now the meter doesn't react to light.

Found out what is wrong with the EE, wire has come off the meter and will need soldering. Johnny, if you want to try half frame then this is the one to go for 253924443558 two lug version of the orignal Pen. Fully manual. Pen D is high end 332825944602 or if you fancy Minolta and a project 192681866542. Maybe an Auto Half 253919370391, could maybe find you the missing button.

If you don't mind tinker a bit I could always send you the Pen EE I've just picked up. I soldered the wire but for some reason the red flag is popping up. It does work but not 100% sure what's up. If I go to take the top plate off it seems to work.

Riddle me this. Them Pen works fine, aperture changes and shutter speed changes... Until I put in the end screw for the top plate and then it red flags. I'm going to try and insulate the top plate incase I have a short.

I would say it is quite straightforward, but here goes. The selenium cell powers the meter, if the reading is too low then when the aperture trap bar comes up (part of the shutter button press) and the needle is to the right when looking at the camera, it falls into a recess which brings the red flag up locking the shutter. If the reading is good and the needle is far enough away from the lock zone, then the appropriate aperture is selected. This one has a two stage trap bar that also selects one of two shutter speeds. All is fine until that screw is fitted. Infuriating! I also picked up a Jupiter 8m which needed a good clean, also listed as having haze. I stripped it down and have found that inner element is suffering from seperation. The Red Cross charity shop next town over has some film dev gear, going to shoot over and take a look.
