How'd the race meet go Col? did the "Bricking it" reduce your race weight?

Heard bikes at Oulton Park when I was at the garden centre, was that anything to do with you?

I didn't go Brett. Having trouble with the other half's kids, so stayed at home. I was completely gutted, but there is one 18 year old (going on 10) that needs to learn what real life is.

Mine for today. Walked past a ploughing competition & saw this old boy, so put it on photoshop to give it some age.

Just got back from a couple of days in St Albans. Not far from home but an excuse to stay in an interesting old coaching inn, eat and drink too much, and walk it all off again exploring the cathedral and fascinating Roman sites.

The High Alter of the cathedral was covered in wonderful carved figures, replaced after the vandalism of the reformation. Not all of them are monarchical or ecclesiastical which was nice. So, I give you the great chronicler of the day, the Venerable Bede.
