Bleedy car boot catch. Two hours in the rain dismantling, cleaning, lubricating, and re-assembling the sodding thing.

Found my other soldering iron after going to Homebase and seeing they wanted £20 for a new one! Feck off, screwfix only wanted £8! Soldered the new led on, low and behold it still didn't work New pair ordered off ebay for £3, all wired and ready to go, one for now, one spare. Gonna get me one of them gas powered soldering irons, as both my electric ones don't cut the mustard.

Re: What have you tinkered with today?
A CBF 125 Just got hold of a nice one at a bargain price for my son, using it myself while I wait for a rear bearing to turn up for the SV - rear suspension has finally given up after 4 years of advises for increasing play
As long as you keep firmly in mind that it's a little 125, it's surprisingly decent, especially once you hit the smoke, where you can't use a bike's top speed in any case!

Re: What have you tinkered with today?
What one did you go for, I got the 70W one for about £15 on some offer but I've found it's not quite got the juice to shift old blobs of solder off contacts so I've been eyeing the 120W for myself at Christmas?
Also changed the oil on the SV, realigned the rear rack as it was starting to twist where one of the mounts was working loose, cleaned and checked all the connectors for the heated grips (still switching themselves off unexpectedly but quite a bit warmer now there's a few more V's getting to them), and glued my throttle grip back on, again (must learn to be more gentle with it!) Cleaned the downpipes and all the bits of the engine that I could get to whilst I had the lowers off as well.
