Re: Vintage film cameras
Useful to see that. Looking forward to seeing the final version.
I've another week off work. Wait for a wet day and try to organise mine but the list won't be anywhere near as eclectic. |

Re: Vintage film cameras
On my work PC so can't see your spreadsheet yet, I've got one as well, think there are a couple of dozen cameras but not got it to hand. I made notes on what I think I paid for them and value, and what needs doing to them. I even highlighted the lines where they are ready to shoot, as those ones are in the minority!
Going to try the Lomo 800 in a Pentax, hoping the cloud will go and do some shooting in the golden hour with the spawn and her Fuji digi. Tried taking a couple of pics of the Christmas tree with presents under it the other day. The flash seemed to go off before the shutter, seemed odd, then a day later (once all the presents had gone) realized the X/M switch had been knocked to M. I don't think f8 and 1/30 on ISO200 is going to produce much in not very good indoor light |

Re: Vintage film cameras
Weather has been dry and warm but no sun. Doesn't really lend itself to photography, tried a bit today but not feeling it. Had a Kiev 4 and my dslr, but still couldn't get into it. Spreadsheet has more gear on, up to 123 input so far, many more to go.

Re: Vintage film cameras
I've got 27, of which 7 are ready to shoot. 6 of the remaining ones need something more serious doing to them than a CLA. 6 of the easy ones are earmarked for sale. 180 is nuts!

Re: Vintage film cameras
I think its going to be at least 250. Now I've started to inventory the collection I really realise how overboard I have gone, and probably how much money I have spent. Ive probably got enough to use one a month for the next twenty years. I've even come across cameras that are loaded but still set to the first frame.

Re: Vintage film cameras
I don't think I'll be anywhere near 3 figures, phew!
I had a look in my Minolta box today and found all this. I've tried out 6 of the 12 and liked them all. It's the amount of glass that worries me more than the cameras. Quite a bit of overlap but I don't know if I can bear to part with any of it until it's been used and tested on a camera. Last edited by yokohama; 30-12-18 at 04:24 PM. |

Re: Vintage film cameras
Nice collection there, I think it was you who got me on to Minolta, I may have overlooked them otherwise! Up to 270 input now, still more to go but not many thankfully. I did find a Pentax Auto 110 with a 18mm lens on it, not the panning one unfortunately, at least this saves me trying to track one down. I do have a couple of Minolta models missing lenses, the XG-E, X300 and X-500.
