Re: Vintage film cameras
Can't see the item. Still on the tail end of a cold, popped out to get the film done and my nose has decided to start up again. Charity shops are a bit light at the moment, saw an Olympus om10 kit for £64, but considering that I paid £10 for mine it stayed there.

Re: Vintage film cameras
Well, I'm done, unless there are any I've forgotten about. 53 cameras, but scarily, 75 lenses.

Re: Vintage film cameras
That's got some good detail in it,will have to pinch a couple of ideas and update mine a bit. 315 now, not quite sure that's everything though. The photos above were taken with the Olympus 35-70 f4.

Re: Vintage film cameras
Nice pics Kenzie. Blimey Yoko that's more than I'd thought. Yep zooms are handy but primes are easy to use, the IQ should be better though a good zoom will still be better than a poor prime, but the primes tend to be faster. I've used the 28mm quite a lot, used it for my sister's wedding as with 50mm to get a full-length person in landscape format I'd have been a long way away. They tend to be soft especially wide open though, more than 50mm, but more DoF so easier to focus (and less bokeh).

Re: Vintage film cameras
I don't know how you manage to store them all. Although I only have sub 3 figure quantities, they take up so much space.
The next task is deciding what to let go. Certainly some of the lesser brand glass, most of which came bundled up with cameras. Then, there's the question of duplicates; do I need 3 50mm Zuiko 1.8s or same pairs of Yashica and Minolta 50mms?? Then, the cameras. While it's nice to have a K1000, will I ever toy with that clunky box when I have a svelte MX lying next to it? Compared to the X500 & X700, is the X300 going to get any use or will it always be a wallflower? Decisions, decisions |

Re: Vintage film cameras
Johnny, yes you're right. I forgot to mention the other big plus of primes, which is 2 or 3 aperture stops. I need to use them more but I know i'll end up cursing if I can't frame a shot properly or get close enough.
