Re: The running thread.
Very well done for completing the half DD!
I was very lazy last week and didn't get out at all. Mostly because it was cold and raining Managed to do a solid 5 miles tonight though. Pretty happy with that as a regular route. |

Re: The running thread.
I shall have to be careful if I run tomorrow.
On the Telford run yesterday I stepped awkwardly on a low tree stump and made the front of my ankle joint twinge badly. I carried on though and after two or three minutes thought no more of it. This morning though as I was coming down stairs and at a couple of points during the day it hurt as I was walking. There's a definite painful spot there. I will need to keep an eye on it as I have a 10k event coming up in a couple of weeks and I don't want to miss it. |

Re: The running thread.
Well I finally got my official time for for the half marathon, 2hours 47 minutes.
I'm happy with that for my first attempt, main thing is I wasn't last last, placed 342 out of 353

Re: The running thread.
Position doesn't matter I'd say. The most important thing is that you did it. Good on you I reckon.

Re: The running thread.
Got out this evening for a nearly all offroad mudfest. I enjoyed the head space. Even if my lungs are still protesting.

I've not managed to get out to run since last Sunday so I'm hoping it'll be a bit less busy tomorrow morning so I can get out at least for a short run. |

Re: The running thread.
No it doesn't really matter but it's nice to know I wasn't last

Re: The running thread.
Well I made it out this morning. O. came with me. He has a stinking cold but was dying to get out on his bike. Unlike his big brother who preferred to fester in bed.
4.7 slightly slower than normal miles due to many nose blowing stops. |

Re: The running thread.
Well done!
I'm still struggling to get out atm. Up to my eyes in work that I want to finish today. If I get it cleared up in time I'll try and squeeze in a short loop of trails here. Never got the chance yesterday as I was working all day up till late last night. |
