Re: Bibio's Sunday Bimbles
Some Dorsoduro owners have actually built secondary tanks from metal fuel bottles attached to the bike. It looks a bit sketchy to me though!

Nights are getting shorter and with the weather being fair on sunday i thought i would do a long run.
If people want to come along can you say so, if not then i wont bother going to the start point. if people want to tag on along the route then make sure that you have enough fuel to get to the next petrol point as i'm not pizzarzzing around looking for fuel. if you are coming along but only doing part of the route can you tell me where you will be departing on the route. 20-08-17.jpg Weather to be fair/overcast with a chance of showers, 14-18c and 5-10mph winds Start 09:00: South Queensferry, Mcdonalds (Fuel) Rest: Creiff, Visitor Centre Rest: Tummel Bridge, Holiday Park Lunch: Braemar, Hungry Highlander Petrol: Braemar, 132 miles from Start Rest: Mossat, Car Park Rest: Cair'o'Mount, View Point Petrol: Brechin, 91 miles from Breamar Rest: Clova, Glen Clova Hotel Rest: Newport on Tay, Tay Bridge car park End: Dunfermline, Mcdonalds fife leisure park Total distance 317 miles. I'll meet you in Crieff if that's ok. That keeps my trips to a manageable 90 miles About 10am? Have you set your alarm? |

Re: Bibio's Sunday Bimbles
Run out of fuel? :P
i had an eventful Sunday with a ride to Newcastle on a new(to me) VFR, which promptly decided it didnt like charging its battery anymore! managed to get to Eyemouth before it cut out completely, then a couple of hours waiting on AA Recovery. got home at 11pm yay! Jemma was surprisingly chipper about "her" bike breaking down :P |

VFR is for a bit of Touring action, the SV isnt the most comfortable 2 up, Jemma is getting pretty keen on getting out and about, and pretty much demanded that i get a touring bike :P it was meant to be used for winter also, but she is already getting precious about it! Some tard fitted a chinese rec, so reckon its bit the dust, currently looking at replacement options. MOSFET upgrade looks to be the way to go. Battery looks chinese too, so thats getting replaced also. |
