Re: Vintage film cameras
Got £60 for it. So after fees it was about £50. Got more back than I bought it for so I'm happy, camera went local but still posted it to comply with seller protection. Mju now has three bids, it's creeping up slowly.

Re: Vintage film cameras
Good price for the K1000. Did you get the Nikon?
I suppose it had to happen ... first of the year. |

Re: Vintage film cameras
Nice looking FED, what lens does it have? The Nikon has still got a couple of days to run but the seller hasn't responded yet. My previous offer runs out in less than an hour so I'll out another offer in.

Re: Vintage film cameras
It's got the standard Industar 26 on it. There's a Jupiter 8 on the Zorki - think that would fit too.
The Fed's cosmetics are good and it's a 1958! I'm impressed with the diopter on such an old camera - can be set up perfectly for my eyes. It fires with a bit of a cough and the shutter seems a bit slow so I think it needs a clean up and some lubrication but apart from that it's fine.. |

Re: Vintage film cameras
I noticed that the shutter om my original OM1 is only firing at one speed, not sure what is going on but I'll have to unload it in order to investigate. Maybe the Fed just needs using in order to free up. Going for a walk tomorrow so may take the Kiev 4 to finish off the film. I've also had to start deleting pics on Flickr or I won't be able to upload any more. I had 1702 photos up. Bit of a pain but I can't be dealing with shelling out £29 a year for it.

Re: Vintage film cameras
I put the Fed on a radiator for a while and it was fine. It'll be gummed up old lubricants that need cleaning out.
I never bothered with Flickr and don't think I will after the recent changes. I've got the Oly 35ED up for sale too but no interest in that as yet either. I'll be happy if I can move that and the Electro on this month. |

Re: Vintage film cameras
Where did you list it? Gumtree or eBay? The EC is the zone focus version of the ECR isn't it? It's strange, not long after I got the sale confirmation email from PayPal, I got a scam email saying a payment on the 6th had been declined and to follow a link to sort.

Re: Vintage film cameras
It's on ebay, and its a 35ED. Rangefinder, very similar in shape to the 35RC and with a similar, slightly wider lens. it's fully auto though, point and shoot with no control over shutter or exposure. However, pics on my test roll came out fairly well exposed and sharp.

Re: Vintage film cameras
Sorry, thought you said EC. I keep getting asked if I'll end the mju auction early but I will let it run. Still no reply from the FM seller, got just over a day to run so I'll pop a bid on.
