I think most of the rest of this year will be taken up sorting a suitable shed/workshop for the bike in the back garden of the new place when I get moved in, along with designing a garden suitable for growing veg. There's likely to be an allotment to sort out as well before long. Oh and running, motorcycling, playing a few gigs with one of my daughters (we've suddenly started being asked again), some hillwalking/hiking in the mountains, maybe a spot of mountain biking here and there.....
Now as for additional hobbies!.....

Plan A: put doggie in crate to stop her bouncing around. (from reddit.com)

Plan B...?

Country wine making? I fill the freezer with my soft fruit and any left in it when the new seasons fruit is coming on , the old ends up as alcohol. Can highly recommend Red Currant - some ends up as Christmas presents

I used to make a lot of wine years ago and I may start again. But I don't really drink all that much now so I'd make much smaller quantities than I used to I think.

Good luck but don't know how a state pension alone is enough to live on ; although my private pension savings seem to be disappearing down the drain anyway and that is before you consider inflation at near 10%.
The only people making money out of my investments seem to be the financial advisor and fund managers . You can't win !

Question: How many times can you say: "I told you so" before it's too many?

Back in 2017 the Rough gas storage was closing. I emailed my MP and told him it was a mistake and he should say something (he didn't).

Last year, when gas supplies were going to be tight, I emailed my MP and suggested he be the hero and speak up about re-opening the Rough gas storage (he didn't).

A few months ago there was talk of re-opening the Rough gas storage (I sent my MP the first: "I told you so")

It now looks like it will go ahead so I sent my second: "I told you so" and suggested that he try listening for once.

He never responds to any of my frequent emails. I thought he might when I predicted that the winner of the PM leadership would be the idiot that shouted "tax cuts" the loudest. Looks like I nailed that one, too. (referring to them as dumb and dumber may not be helping my case).

Subtlety is wasted on some of our "representatives" I think.
