Re: What have you tinkered with today?
Well a busy day yesterday.
Organised and tidied my garage after getting a new tool chest, got rid of one old plastic tool box. Dumped a load of rubbish. Tidied the shed too. Re hung the door on the other shed Fixed the issue on the headset bearing on my new 29r build Continued to try and rescue Chris numbers photo's from his HDD

Re: What have you tinkered with today?
I put the SV on the optimate, which is as close as I got to tinkering.... but I had far more fun hand feeding some abandoned kittens my sister is fostering. Pics in photo a day later, these little rascals are far trickier to work on than a bike, they wriggle!

Re: What have you tinkered with today?
I found that the cigarette lighter socket in my car was broken and replaced the fuse. To my shame I had to check the Haynes manual to find where such a fuse board might be located.

Re: What have you tinkered with today?
I have been fiddling with my rear brake calliper to show my step son where to grease them and what with. Well it is a bit nicer than saying that I have been fiddling, with the stepson!

Re: What have you tinkered with today?
I bled the brakes on the VFR. Brake fluid over 2 years old. Not for the faint hearted.

Re: What have you tinkered with today?
Bib... it looks like youve used a handlebar mount somewhere in there? I was going to try and pad one out with an old bicycle inner tube and clamp to the mirror arms?
Ill have to post my findings if i do try it! |

Re: What have you tinkered with today?
yup it was by chance a perfect fit to a RAM triangular 1'' mount. the same mount also fits the mirror base but you have to 'slot' the holes of the mount inwards. i never got out to try it but i will tomorrow when i get up.
the cam is solid but only taking it for a ride will tell. |
