And you are helping, because you have taken a piece of time to look at alternatives, and its quite difficult to tick boxes from the off! Some sites I've looked at, just looking at pictures, you get 'too small' stamped straight away!

I'll be up there at the end of the month and i could have a chat with a farmer and get a field. for us possably quite cheep. However facilities would be next to none Alternativly ill call in at a couple of places while im up there if needs be?

Great idea, but you need basic things like toilets for our ever popularly attended AR.
Facilities are one of the things that draw people to this event these days. Some people don't mind a very basic event, but the majority prefer comfort, and everything ontap at their disposal.

If you could look into places up there for alternatives, it would help for plan B etc.

My comment about some people being in the way was not meant to be taken too seriously, more a general jibe at people who had no idea I was there, rather than anything about their pace fast or slow.

Most dangerous riding I saw was markers actually, you know the ones who are supposed to be competent

Hey Dizz - if you want to make things really interesting you could always chuck in Corney Fell as part of the route .

I drove this (haven't done it on a bike yet) a few weeks ago - WOW !!!

100+ bikes on that road would be phenomenal - that's phenomenal spelled C-A-R-N-A-G-E !!

Sorry - not helping much am I ?

I'll leave now - TAXI !!

It connects the A595 at Waberthwaite with the A595 just north of Hallthwaites.

Just go to GoogleMaps and look up Fell Rd, Millom, Cumbria

Yep count me in, also stayed at the original campsite mentioned , Ride these roads every spare second I have so will happily come out on some route rekkys.

Will post up some ideas for campsites, there is a good one in between lake Windermere and Keswick or is this a bit far off the radar?
