Mel, you're relying on Plowsie's directions?? Just watch out for the single-track roads then

Right guys, had a text from Lissa as she was concerned i was not there. All is ok simple explanation really. I did not plan ahead enough. Trying to set off from Chippenham at 9.40 to get there and have time before getting back does not work well. Combine that with freezing fog and cold hand due to crap gloves meant i fannied out at Cheltenham. I could tell i was not going to make it in time nor be able to stay more than half hour if i got there. So i turned back and headed to the in laws for a warm up and brew before heading home.

I am really sorry i did not make it guys i did not have any numbers to get in contact, as i did not know Lissa was going.

Lesson learnt, leave in plenty of time and buy better gloves.

I got back and spent 2 hours cleaning the bike as it was caked but the ACF-50 worked a treat its gleaming again .

oh and i was naughty i gave her some beenz on a few long straights. the out come: well at about 10K RPM its like a turbo if you open her right up i actually thought i was going to come off the back of the bike. and got to about 110 in 3rd before the road ran out LOL .

I am so miffed I didn't get there. After going round and round in circles and ending up in Newcastle, I decided to call it quits.

Was really looking forward to seeing you all.

I was well prepared too.

Breath spray and mistletoe.

What a great day

Lovely to see Mike, Plowsie, Pedro, Stewie, James and Kwak again, and to meet Sean, Claire, Shelley, Ed and his mate Carl.

The free Sunday lunch was a real bonus and the open fires and the warmth of the place was lovely.

Had a good ride home, apart from a real section of freezing pea-souper around Hinckley..............couldn't see jack!

Good to hear that Neio was ok too, but a shame neither he or Melody made it. They were missed.

The brave/foolish ones!

Nice to meet you all, had a great time
Was glad to get in a hot bath though, 6 hours on a bike in freezing weather and fog is a bit more than I'm used to!

Thanks plowsie for meeting me and leading there

See you all again, when its a bit warmer...
