The bump

To give you more local Info, if Alston is still the route
- There is a petrol station in Alston (if your on the fumes) or Penrith (I'll be filling up there)
- The Roads are in a relatively good condition upto the cafe and ok'ish to Penrith
- The pheasants have a fetish for the roads, the sheep aint much better.
- Local riders will probably do scary overtakes and be on the wrong side of the road when its clear.
- The hairpins after the cafe are very very tight

James

May I suggest that once you have finished with Shap and get to Kendal.

Your route over to Kirkby Lonsdale is straight and fast. But I would suggest take the A684 towards Sedbergh and drop onto the A683 down to Devils Bridge. Plenty of bends, little traffic/plod and grab a bacon butty at the Devils Bridge butty van. Watch the single track bridge at the Bardon juction where Hovis dented every panel of an A class as he rolled over it.

Be careful around Devils Bridge, they hide, and hide well, so watch your speed Theres a new mobile speed camera apparently kicking around the place, so I should imagine it'll maybe be in a popular place such as Devils

lol I remember Hovis doin the bridge squeeze! I've asked him to give the big man above a poke for sunshine

Dizz

I generally though plod in the area hide in the unmarked golf on the little chef car park (would get those heading for the campsite) or on the settle bypass to get those peed off with the car trail up from Long Preston ie, the too slow fecker that tried to get me), also the cameras on the A65 at Kirby Lonsdale

Perhaps a small separate tread is required to help those heading for the AR of known plod and scamera locations.

People reading this don't worry, plod in the area is generally quite good apart from the scamera man and the unmarked golf. The liveried guys tend to park loud and proud so you do not disturb their doughnut eating. There is the occasional helicicopter but they tend to hover over Devils for a while before they start their antics. As if to say take note we are playing out as well.
