Loads of folk doing it mate! Fizz did it one year and he's at the bottom of the M5 not the top!

If you really couldn't face the journey by bike, Perth motorcycles do bike hire from 50 quid a day and they are 40 miles from the campsite. Train or car to Perth on Friday (they will pick you up from the station), ride to the campsite, drop off the bike again before they close on the Sunday. 100 quid is not a hell of a lot more than you'll spend in wear and tear on your bike doing a 1000 mile weekend, you'd nearly hit that amount just counting tyre wear and main dealer servicing. The train wouldn't be much more expensive than the fuel there and back on the bike.

cbay my plan is to go upto Moffat on the wednesday (hopefully with a few BP lot in tow ) and camp there for a couple of nights. Have a nice ride round the local roads on thursday and then go onto the GM from there on the friday. Its about 250 miles from yours to Moffat and only another 120 to do on the friday to Killen. You're welcome to come join us, PM me if you're interested

Well just treated myself to a all shiny new Rukka Arma-S Jacket.

So I am just trying to plan/sort out if I am coming or not.

sorted for you !!

You do realise that if you are thinking about going then the Ecosse lot are just going to keep hounding you until you give up and go. You may as well just go to save all the hassle!!

If you are going, you can have the honour of buying me a pint?

And who is for a Big Bob Burger at Roo's Leap? Should we make it compulsory eating for 60+?

It is an SV Ecosse traditional order after all. For those that don't know the background, see any previous years ROTSB rideout thread.

My only concern is....
That particular culinary delicasy+ Leathers+ Several miles to go home= TROUBLE BREWING!
