not noticed this until looking at the BBC article but the 'B' in Arbeit is upside down.
does anyone know its thats intentional or did some welder get his nuts chopped for that error? |

If you have not visited the 2 remaining camps at Auschwitz, in my humble opinion go now before the PC brigade outlaw it.
Auschwitz I and Auschwitz Birkenau are staggering monuments to man's inhumanity to man. It was a very moving experience. The sign that was stolen is not the original... thats tucked away somewhere safe.... the 'B' was deliberately made upside down by the inmates at the time as a protest .. the Germans never twigged. I made a film about the camp... pm me if you want a copy... |
