25k in 2 years....


THATS why i won't sell the bandit, and run it into the ground. Not worth selling it, won't make hardly any money back.

Good news is, its bloody clean for 25k miles, not so clean for a 2 year old bike

Service it when you want, buy second hand bits or modify it to your taste/requirements. Leave it out in the rain. Takes a lot of worries out of the bike owning/running equation. At least I hope it does for you mate.


The duke is probably worth 2 to 2.5k now but if we run it for another year it will still be worth that sort of money (I hope). That's the secret I reckon, run them into the ground, then buy secondhand again.

Yes, you're bang on the money.
It's only got 20k on it so it's good for another while yet, when I do want to get something else I can just trade it in for whatever they give me.

Got the yellow curvy in Feb this year, 9K on the clock, between me & no2 son, used every single day, already done 4.5K!
At this rate, will be around 10K+ a year, but both loving every min. of it.
You don't buy a new flat screen surround sound TV & keep it in the box to ensure a 2nd hand re-sale value, why should the bike be any different, I say ride em till it hurts!
