I've just got back from sunny Norwich. 150 miles of being dazzled by headlights and foglights hasn't exactly left me in the mood for the pub.

I had to go halfway round east Reading to get petrol on the way home. Both of the BP garages were closed off! I'll leave Jon to tell the story, but hope you get a gear lever tomorrow mate!

To cut a long story short, one of the barmen popped his head round the corner halfway through the evening to announce that someone's bike had fallen over. Turns out some guy had reversed into Jon's SV and then done a runner. Crash bung is a little scuffed, a few scratches on the plastic, and the gear lever broke!

On a serious note, i may be going to the garage tomorrow(if i can persuade someone to haul my goods there), so i'll ask if they have a gear lever knocking about.

Operation evade Warthog was a resounding success. Ducking off the A404 and then rejoining it was probably unneccessary. |
