HAHA That's us kitting up after the 5 min warning. I had a look around a few mins later and a few of us where ready. I knew which way we where going to Settle petrol station and thought people might notice us pulling away so I set off nice and slow. Probley my fault for the mix up at Hawes and that turn off but at least everything got sorted. Our little group had a good stint on that closed road and a giggle going over the foot bridge so never mind

The pace we were doing which was 70+ pretty much all the way was about as comfortable as I feel on those. A lot of the corners were blind which I didnt like, not knowing how much I needed to slow down (I was leeding a fair bit) and not knowing the roads too well, 3rd time on them in 4 years. Also with the oil issue on the back tyre (Scottoiler GRRRRRRRRRRR) I didnt want to push it on the left...

Guys just for the record I really dont mind.. I was much happier riding back to hawes to NOT find you then forget you and crack on.

Communication is the name of the game and that will be significantly better next time round!

2 way radios for everyone, miniture signs put up at various junctions around the route atleast 3 days in advance, helicopters with marshalls to wave us on, police escorts for the busy town sections, photographers... maybe even a greggs van at the designated stops.
